Yes the kayak was anchored. I always envyed the salt guys so I left the Ohio Valley and joined them. Im in north Florida and now I envy the south Florida guys. I dont think I will be satisfied until I live in the Keys.

Ive been to the Keys 5 times in the last 2 years and I dont think I could ever go there enough. I hear ya on that one for sure. I definitely plan on moving down there once I get my kids out of the house! Only 18 years to go on my youngest haha.
I guess no one else is fishing.
I went freediving/spearfishing from the kayak again today. I paddled to my spot that Ive had good success fishing from my boat and get in the water. I was pumped to see literally HUNDREDS of good sized sheepshead swimming all around me. I took aim and squeezed the trigger but unfortunately the spear pulled and the fish got away. As I went to reload I realized my gun had somehow broken.
So, with no working gun and no fishing rod and bait I paddled back and called it a day empty handed. The good news is that I fixed my gun and its going to be even warmer tomorrow so I hope to find some time get back out there.

no fishing here.... finally getting cold, but just in time for it to be 50 again Sunday and Monday. May go after some carp. Shoot some pics of those sheepshead!! An underwater cam would be awesome too for those of us wishing we could swim!!
Every one down here has a go pro but me it seems. I think it would be cool but for the money I need to grab some more fishing gear first. I only have like a dozen rods, 11 too many according to my wife, but I am still needing a good hi speed jigging setup, a grouper stick and Im wanting to get at least a 6/0 and start start shark fishing from the beach this summer now that I have a kayak to take the bait out.
i wish i was fishing. we winterized the boat, and the bank fishing here hasent been to hot or so i hear. no reports of anything that makes me want to jump off the couch.
Shot two sheepshead and a mullet. Saw a school of BIG black drum but they never let me get close enough for a shot and the big school of big breeder sheepies were there again today but spooked out of the area after my first shot. Not the haul I was hoping for but enough meat for dinner I suppose.
slowed down a lot here, i went out to the honey whole a few days ago for about 2 hours, nothin on live shiners or lures. i really cant wait for the weather to clear up at the end of the day
