My new Parachromis friedrichsthalii 'Rio Danto'

that fish looks more female than male to me. heres apic of my male. notice all the spotting in the fins which the above fish did not appear to have. also yours is very yellow where most males are more of a gold color from what ive seen

You know you could be right... I haven't been able to catch him/her to vent. The junk looks pointed, but it was sold to me as a female. What makes you say female? This could explain why I have to keep them separated.

the bright yellow and few spots in the fins points to females when it comes to la ceibas
 
So as an update - I finally caught the larger "male" and he is a she! Why I didn't vent these when I got them... Update pics to follow soon.

Nice fish. I just picked up 4 juveniles at my local fish club auction. I am patiently waiting for them to color up.
