An interesting side note; 15 new species of FW rays have been discovered/IDd in the last decade.

why would sa ray be labeled a china ray for any reason???

Oddball was there any indecation given to the ray in terms of it being an early stage of evolution where the barbs forming or a late where they are loosing then due to lac of preditors? im just currious as ever...

I thought the angel shark had been a known species for a long time now...?

Edit: Oh, I didn't realize there were so many different species of angel sharks.

i think they are labeled "china ray" because they look like china dinner plate. but they are not new. they were in Aqualog book on ray couple of years ago. they just did not have proper scientific names
