It's been awhile (with school, family, new family, and work in the way of the hobby), and I think I've found my next step in the hobby. Gobies! I've always loved Gobies since I was really young, but never took that extra step to get more involved with the different species. So this is me taking my step I suppose, lol, have a few right now in my 55-Gallon main tank. Have a 20-Gallon and a 10-Gallon setup on stand-by for the more smaller, less aggressive, little buggers.
List so far:
Yellow Watchman Goby (Cyrptocentrus cinctus)
Pink-Spotted Watchman Goby (Cryptocentrus leptocephalus)
Diamond Watchman Goby (Valenciennea puellaris)
Metallic Shrimp Goby (Amblyeleotris latifasciata)
The DWG has dug-out different spots which the others have taken as their own homes. He hides toward the back under a piece of live-rock, the PSWG under a rock in the front, the YWG under a large grouping of rocking in the center, and the MSG just sits right in the open. Definitely a favorite of the group-next to the little Dusky Jawfish that hides on the left side of the tank.
Have a bunch of photos, mainly of the Metallic Shrimp Goby, but the Yellow Watchman can be seen too. I'll have to get some shots of the others sometime.
Off to work later today too; hopefully I'll come home with something for the 10-Gallon. :D
Knifefish-->Gobies = ? Freshwater and Saltwater favorites I guess lol.

The last five shots were after a major tank-cleaning. Too much algae, and with this new move, I decided that it was time to change that.

Is there no love for Gobies!? :)
Finally caught the Pink Spot Watchman out in the open, snapped a few shots.
Have a new tank all setup for new arrivals, and soon to be another on the way. Getting a Stonogobiops yasha would be nice, but I think the next one for now is Stonogobiops nematodes. Something a little more...cheap. :) lol

I love gobies! Just the freshwater Stiphodon kind. Male S. elegans I think :) Yours are awesome!
Very cool, and thank you! I've always been a fan of Gobies, salt and fresh. The only freshwater..well..brackish technically, is the Bumblebee Goby. BB Goby.jpg

wow very beautiful for sure, love it! keep the pics coming
cool pics!
Thanks guys, I'll definitely keep updating with more shots as the collection goes on.
Picked up two Green Clown Gobies the other day, but they have a nasty fungal infection that I'm currently treating. Hopefully all goes well, and I don't end up losing either of the two..
The others in the main tank are doing well. Sounds like there might be a chance of a 150-Gallon SW tank showing up in the future....just a chance right now though..
