It's been awhile (with school, family, new family, and work in the way of the hobby), and I think I've found my next step in the hobby. Gobies! I've always loved Gobies since I was really young, but never took that extra step to get more involved with the different species. So this is me taking my step I suppose, lol, have a few right now in my 55-Gallon main tank. Have a 20-Gallon and a 10-Gallon setup on stand-by for the more smaller, less aggressive, little buggers.
List so far:
Yellow Watchman Goby (Cyrptocentrus cinctus)
Pink-Spotted Watchman Goby (Cryptocentrus leptocephalus)
Diamond Watchman Goby (Valenciennea puellaris)
Metallic Shrimp Goby (Amblyeleotris latifasciata)
The DWG has dug-out different spots which the others have taken as their own homes. He hides toward the back under a piece of live-rock, the PSWG under a rock in the front, the YWG under a large grouping of rocking in the center, and the MSG just sits right in the open. Definitely a favorite of the group-next to the little Dusky Jawfish that hides on the left side of the tank.
Have a bunch of photos, mainly of the Metallic Shrimp Goby, but the Yellow Watchman can be seen too. I'll have to get some shots of the others sometime.
Off to work later today too; hopefully I'll come home with something for the 10-Gallon.
Knifefish-->Gobies = ? Freshwater and Saltwater favorites I guess lol.
The last five shots were after a major tank-cleaning. Too much algae, and with this new move, I decided that it was time to change that.
