best live food to breed?

Hey guys. I have a spare 35gal iv been useing as a small growout tank. Tank is now empty and I was debaiting on breeding live food on a small scale as atreat for the larger fish. I have had sucess before with ghost shrimp and mollies, so was thinking of taking that route again. All thats in the tank is a couple fake plants for comfort for the growouts. I know the mollies would need some kind of floating plants for the fry to hide in, and some drift wood or something for the shrimp. Does anyone have anything to suggest or add? Maybe another easy snack fish to try breeding etc.. thanks in advance.

I just got 100 guppies for the same reason. They are super small though, so not sure how long it takes for them to get busy making food.

i found it easiest to breed snails and earthworms for my aquarium fish i have stingrays piranhas and aro's

Well thats why I bred mollies before as their live bearers, so no hassle with eggs, and shrimp tend to breed no matter what as long as the aquarium is set up right. And I dont have anymore spare tanks to use to house parent fish in one tank and fry/babies in another tank. Maybe a tank divider will help. And im personaly not into convicts or chichlids in gereral, just dont find them appealing as soo many people have them.

Well who cares if your not into them, they are going to be food anyway! Lol they make great feeder fish and breed like mad. I am tossing around the idea of breeding them when I move as feeders for my bichir, mollies and platy work well also.

Convicts are so hassel free... guess what? u dont even have to move the parents away if you have 30g... they will see them through till the fry's adulhood.... i have one tank of convict fry since november... it is 10g and ive left only the mother there as due to no space the male was getting beaten up lol... so he is in my 185G already paired up and making babies.... its true to the saying "just add water+Convict pair=FRY" heheh...
