Noob, 90 gallon, EGGS, HELP!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ok wow....I had been doing some reading and I thought that white eggs were unfertilized. So now the eggs are gone and I decided to do a good cleaning so if my Salvini decided to lay eggs again they would have a clean home. The female wouldn't leave the cave area even when my hand was in there. I really didn't think too much of it and kept siphoning until I noticed these little things trying to get out of the siphon. Turns out there are about 50-75 of these babies? Wigglers? What do I do? How do I feed them?

Congrats! I used baby brine shrimp once the egg sacs were gone. Worked well for me.

you can buy them some hikari frist bites or crush flask real finely with a coffee grind only ment for the fish food or try brine shrimp eggs

Ok....so wow! I decided that after the Salvini situation I should pay closer attention to my fish. I noticed that what I thought was a male Jack Dempsey was really defending territory right next to the Salvini. On closer inspection, there are wigglers in there also. It's in a really dark part of my background so I guess I never noticed. So a regular female Jack Dempsey, and a male Blue Gene Jack Dempsey, whats next for these guys? Also, I thought this wasn't supposed to be possible? 1 pair breeding Salvini, 1 pair breeding Jacks, 1 FH, 1 Arowana, and all the rest.
F.Y.I.
I just bought a 46 gallon bowfront to seperate the Salvini in.

cool , its not impossible for 2 breeding pairs to breed in the same tank as long as their not fighting they will be fine . keep the baby jacks raise them up and take a blue gene male and female then breed em and you will get blue genes and electric blue jacks. study your fish theres a site i use its called aqualandpetsplus.com it has a lot of info about different cichlids. i would say keep your pairs sell your arowanna or find another tank for it and put the others in the 46 bowfront cuz its to small for the salvinis they max at about 15"+ about 9" in captivity and you might want to get that 20 long ready for your fry once their big enough to live on their own.

oh btw you might want to take that big rock thing out of the tank even thou it looks cool but give them open space to move around remember you have monster fish they need room to be monster fish . this is my 40 breeder you can see what i mean by open space . even thou i only have a pair of young green terrors in there , they have their own room and hiding places away from each other

So I moved my Salvini pair and their free swimmers to my new 46 Bow Front. It looks kind of bare so I wanted to add this driftwood that I have. The wood was in the 180 gallon when I bought it. So it was previously in an aquarium, and it's been dry for about 3 weeks now. I've had it soaking all day and I was wondering when it would be safe to put into my aquarium with the new free swimmers. Will it change the parameters of my tank? It was brand new but I seeded it with media from my Fluval 405 on my 90 gallon. Is it safe?

Oh and Doomie, My 40g breeder has stacked lava rock in it, its just there for now because I have 10 Festae and 2 Salvini fry in there. When they start getting bigger I'll change the decor and sell off most of those fish.

if you put the diftwood in it will open up room for the fish depending on how big it is. if you drop it in make sure all the fry are around the parents so none get crushed under it . i dont if you should have moved them to that tank cause you risk them not ever spawning again thats why i told you to move the others in stead of the pair of salvinis .
