I totally agree with you! Just another seller trying to make a quick buck and you will never see them again! Like I said, there are tons of people breeding black rays and the pups are as healthy as can be! Just shop around and you shall find!

All i know is that i would never embarass myself like that by sending out a ray that skinny. We all know it only takes a few weeks of good feeding to put some weight on a ray.

Nothing but fat and healthy rays coming out of my tanks, and these rays are clearly neither

go look at the thread ray started in the sellers forum.
the sellers reply was "enjoy them and GOOD LUCK with them"
CLEARLY that is not something you say to a ray buyer under normal conditions !
Seems to me that just by Rays excitement of the rays he got is pretty much what he wanted.
So..instead of trusting that these two knew what has happening..you guys go on a lynch mob after the seller.
no wonder so many people are afraid to post anything in the stingray section...

How do I know this, because I have seen it time and time again! I have kept fish for 22 years and there is no reason to ship rays out your door that look like this unless you want the quick buck and want to avoid them dying in your tank before you sell! That's how I know when someone wants to make a quick buck! If they die and the seller reimburses you for the full price then call me a liar. BUT there is no vendor in the world that will reimburse total cost after any period of time or there would be no VENDORS around as they would all go broke! As long as they arrived alive that is all that matters to them. If they do reimburse then they charged enough on the first set of rays to break even or still make a little money after sending the replacements. A vendor can say all he wants...Goodluck,enjoy them or whatever but that still doesn't mean you are receiving a good product or make him a good seller.
I imagine drug dealers say the same thing! Hope you enjoy your ecstasy!! As the guy is dead the next day! LOL

THERE ARE GOOD VENDORS AND HOBBYISTS THAT SUPPLY OUTSTANDING STOCK!

If the buyer likes his rays, price and can nurse them back to health then so be it!
If it was me I wouldn't get excited and post pictures of my emaciated rays and praise the seller and wait for good comments coming my way unless it was in the disease section! Just my 2 cents!

It's easy. Feed the rays and sell them for a higher price. If nobody wants to pay the higher price, get into a different business. If the only rays being made available for export are emaciated, stop bringing them in. Jeff Rapps managed to get me some WC rays that were in great shape.. I wonder how that was possible if all the rays being sent up are in this kinda state?

This has nothing to do with cliques - nobody wants anything but to find a reputable seller. When I received a ray in a similar state last year you asked me where it came from because you wanted to be sure to never deal with the seller. Now you're defending another seller who sold rays in the same state, because he's a friend, instead of looking objectively and seeing what pretty much everyone else is seeing.

well update is rays are eating and very active Shawn called me cause he was very concerned with the rays and we are keeping each other updated on their progress he is indeed a stand up guy and im sure he will do what ever to make it right if need be.

I ALMOST FORGOT....I know first hand as I was robbed of my hard earned money by a Vendor in Canada know as "JUNGLE BOOGIE". I believe in KARMA and they are no longer in business. So what comes around goes around!
