im still not sure if anyone can become a vendor or if they have to pay for that right to class themselfs as a vendor over a normal seller

the vendors have there own section in the buy and sell so i take it they pay for that title of a vendor or anyone selling a fish could post in the vendor section

if they do pay MFK to be classed as a vendor then yes MFK does need to sort things out if things go wrong as they have taken there money and given them the tag vendor

I could be wrong, but my understanding is that all vendors pay for the right to advertise and sell merchandise as a commercial business. It gives them rights to a personal forum with the full rights and abilities to edit their forum as they see fit. If I am incorrect I am sure that a mod will correct me shortly.

i think we should create a feedback threads within the vendor's forum that the vendor's have no access to modify. This way it will force the vendor to respond to it for the transactions that went bad. All these previous threads with shawn l, he just ignores them and never responded to it after a few weeks it will be covered by new threads and people wont know about it. This way it will easily let potential customers read about some of the bad transaction and they could make a decision if they want to make a purchase from the vendor. i think mfk should reevaluate MN Discus& Exotics to see if he should still be a vendor on this forum with all these high price transactions that have gone bad.

The mods clearly favor the vendors cause they pay to be a vendor, pretty obvious really, everything is like that. Although a few years ago my thread about the vendor massive agression did get them kicked off this site. I don't know if they are back but the mods do good things sometimes. Sometimes lol

Why are you all coming up with ways to avoid future discertions like this one??? ITS THEIR JOB TO RUN THEIR SITE!! they should be the ones brainstorming better ways to make this site better. They get their money from vendors and thats all that matters, if we get ripped its our fault.....

Personally i will never buy a fish that i cannot see in person but thats just me.

Well if thats the case MFK do need to help sort things out as they are partly to blame and by taking a vendors money they have entered into a parnership with the vendor allowing them to sell under the MFK banner

But MFK has kicked Shawn off before, so if enough people would go through the feedback system that is already in place I don't see why he wouldn't get kicked off again.

Too many people say it's not worth the hassle, or just deal with what they got - they're the ones who are allowing this guy to continue ripping people off. Starting threads that devolve into violent threats and get deleted help nobody.

If you got scammed, use the tools that already exist to help out fellow community members.

what i dont get is why mfk allowed him to come back. What's the point of kicking vendor off and then allow him to come back a few months later under a different name.

Since the suspect have such a bad reputation on mfk how did he fall victim. No one want to blame them self. They want to point finger. The victim bein on mfk since 2007 and I'm sure he bein keeping fish for many years should have alot of knowledge and wisdom. So why when he was bragging to his friends about the pearls deal why didnt they warn him about the suspect.

I guess you would also hold a newspaper culpable for someone placing an ad for an AKC pup that turns out to be a mutt.
