so do i lol!!!! but i will say i dont overstock my ray tanks like we do the koi!! wouldnt take the risk and would probs defeat the object as would need more water changes
ment to say my mate runs one with a 6ft sump for his 6 x 3 x2 and ya could drink his tank water!!!

He has kept and bred black rays for years,paininthebutt has been keeping rays for 12months and only has a few pups and 12month old hybrid.
No matter what bio filtration you use your nitrates will continue to rise unless you have plants, water changes, or drip system. The biological filtration converts ammonia and nitrites to nitrAtes.

peter its plain and simple most nitrate filters work by being a sealed unit having minimal oxygen running thought them (same as marine tanks nitrate filter)
these fluid bed filters are sealed from the air and nitrifing bacteria thrive in these conditions! thus reducing the levels in the tanks
if you question this??? them please google TMC and CLOVERLEAF fluid bed filters and im sure these companys that supply these units will back this up

listen we is a joint venture !!! between 3 of us!!! now thats explained!!
there are indoor tropical ponds here and at one other location to house adult rays
i think you need to do reserch into me/us before shouting your mouth off lol i have been keeping rays for well over 12mths but 2 partners been keeping for years!
i also kept marine rays (blus spots ) for over 6years and were in PFK mag twice!!! along with many cat sharks!
as for t1 karmen lol he dont even do the rays himself lol he gets others to do them for him!!
as for the rays i own do you know this for fact???? no i dont think so!! 1 hybrid ray lol seems strange how ive managed a 5 way cross hybrid with one ????? hermaphidite maybe lol
