haha nice. I have 3 packs of those banjo minnows and never really learned how to rig them up like they show in the videos. I dont think I have ever even used one, just took some of the hooks out of the box. You caught anything on them?

I use the "Lightweight Eyes" and a small minnow on the new Banjo. It actually simulates a dying minnow fairly well. As for all the other rigs...they are crap haha

went and bought a pack of gamagatsu weedless hooks for wacky rigging. i'll be damned if im gonna have another day like sunday because of poorly chosen terminal

got my power handles put on the c3's. I like the feel a lot, but the colors don't match perfectly. That shouldn't bother me, but it does. I am still going to use them regardless and I am sure that I will get over it. Hitting the river this weekend.

Hit the same spots I took my buddy too a couple of days ago. The Gulf wasnt as flat and I was kind of nervous as it was my first time out alone.

Long story short it was dead out there and I hit several spots managed just one red snapper and a few short triggers and of course more ruby red lips than you can shake a stick at. The triggers where my target but often times I would drop down, drift and pull up empty hooks. Didnt even feel the bite so I figure they were hitting on the way down.

No cobia seen nor hits while trolling a cigcicle.

I called it an early day because when the fish aint biting it gets pretty lonely bobbin around out there all by yourself haha. Im going to need a new fishing buddy now that my buddy is moving.

I did see some fliers less than a half mile from the beach as well as something BIG that was moving faster than any fish Ive ever seen. It was no dolphin either as I watched it crashing at the surface for around a hundred yards. I kept telling my self it was just a big manta ray as I have been seeing them jump lately but Ive never see one move like that before.

Interesting mystery fish. you should definitely catch it...

I guess Ill just take one for the team and move down there so you have someone to fish with.

This thing was BIG, as in several hundred pounds. This time of year the big makos are cruising the beaches and with the size and especially the speed of the animal that is what I am thinking it was. I of course told my self it was just a ray with a firecracker up its ass, still though, the rest of the paddle back in I had my head on a swivel.

If youre ever down this way I will put you on some fish.
