So my plan was to end my pike-season by going out with my boat this afternoon.
It's illegal to fish for Perch,Pike,Zander and Eel from the 1st of April til the last saturday in May.
Pike,Zander and Perch are all breeding at this very moment, and this law is made to give the fish some rest.
Most of the respectfull fishermen decide to take there chances at Carp and Bream at this period of the year and I'f you do get caught while pikefishing, you wil get a really high fine.
I will not have the time to go fishing tommorow, so today was supposed to be my season ending session.
So I drove to the house of a friend since my boat is laying his backgarden, but there was nobody there.
He was supposed to go fishing with me and another friend, but he forgot our appointment.
This is the second time this happens since I got my boat and I'm really frustrated right now.
It's about a five mile bikeride to his house, and the only reason my boat is laying in his backgarden is the fact that I do not yet own a outboard motor besides from my fishing motor. He had recently won a 5PK Suzuki Motor at a fishing contest, but he didn't had a boat so I figured that with my boat and his motor we would both benefith from the situation.
I did make a few cast with my other friend and we caught a few perch from maybe 6-8inch but that wasn't the way I was hoping to end this season.
I am going to save up some money to buy my own outboard motor before the new pikefishing season starts and relocate my boat to a water near my house.
Really done with being dependent on someone that keeps forgetting his appointments.

I can land flatties almost year round here in AZ, so it also depends on location. Here in the next few weeks I'm going to go noodeling Roosevelt Lake here :headbang2

4 channels landed, a 5lb and a 4lb along with a couple little ones. also caught 3 snapping turtles one being the biggest i've ever caught. its shell was nearly 2' wide and its feet were almost as big as my hand....
