mmm Well the heating company I was talking too showed me the heater they would recommended for best bang for buck energy wise and it was 4.2 kwhl (something like thiss 1000W=ksomething) then taken into the fact that the doors stay open most the time apart for in winter and the outside temp is not such a huge drop all year around I decided its better just going with the heaters so far we have only noticed an 8$ increase per the quarter billing so something must be right :) Water on the other hand well that went up a lot filling all those tanks up! lol but yeah 8$ is a little less then half an hours work so even if I could get away with 4$ increase I wouldn't really care xD!

Cool, I bet aussie land is awsome were i live i ny elec is insane and monopolized, my bill is close to 250 month not cause my tanks just expensive.

I understand what ur going through. i kept a 29 g from age 10-18. I remember bringing home a 75 and hearing my mother and girlfriend freaking out over this giant tank. Since then, i married the girl and gone through a 72, 135, 150, 180 and several smaller tanks. We currently have a 280, 120 and a 45 quarantine tank

this is my potential future monster. probably won't get very big cuz he is only in a 75. someone had kept this 10" gar in 30G tank and said he was going to "dispose of it" unless i took it from him. so i took it in and he is doing better. his destroyed nose is healing over very well. the second pic is of him eating a goldfish. he is now eating floating pellets.
