congratulations, i love it! any chance of getting some filtration details/pics?
i will be working on that also, so expext the pics soon, :)

Your stocklist looks like a wholesalers availability list!! Lol! ;)
Serious mad tanks and fish!! If that were my fishroom, I'd probably never leave!! :grinno: :screwy:
:) thanks

today we moved the 3 800 gallon tubs of fish into the new pool in the new fishroom, we had to buy a new one, because when we took down the 2 - 15' intex pools they both cracked and broke, the plastic seems to get brittle on those pools after a year or so, so we ran to target and bought a brand new pool this morning,
now tomorrow we will be setting up the main filtration for the fishroom, as it was plumbed to the 4000 and the 3 tubs and the pools in the pool room, now i have to relocate the bead filter into the fishroom and hook the 4000, 1000, 3-800 gallon tubs, 2500 gallon pool all up together, when we set the new pool up today, we plumbed in a 3" bulkhead and then a shutoff valve, and that is what we are doing on all 3 tubs and that way i can connect all the pvc and just turn on the valves when were done, ill take plenty of pics as we go, i took alot today so i will get them up soon, here are 2 pics that you can see the 2 intex pools and the 3 800 gallon tubs, you can also see the temp pvc pipes for filtration untill the new fish room was finished,

If only i had that sort of space to work with...

Great looking setups though... really looking forward to what happens with the rest of the tanks...

hello everyone,
here is what we did tonight, first we had to take the sliding glass doors off of the fishroom to be able to carry in the 800 gallon tubs, so we took them off and started to drain the ultima 2 30,000 bead filter, then we rolled it onto a roller from home depot, and it cracked in half, i ended up having to put a tow strap around me and then under the wheels of the roller and my son joshawa pushed from behind, well that worked and we got it into the fish room, we ended up just rolling it on its side through the fishroom, heres a pic

then we had to carry the 800 gallon tubs in, they were heavy as hell,

after we got both tubs in , we lined them up and did the pvc
from them to the pool and then to the filter

then it was time to fill them and put a few fish in them, heres how we moved the fish, and look at the net they destoyed :)

well here is the last thing we did tonight, we turned on the 10,000 gallon per hour pump, rinsed out the filter and turned it to the filter position, and watched to see if we had any leaks, nope, no leaks all is good. ill give you one last pic of this new pool
filling, i still have to set up the other pool for the big huge cats,

Great update! It amazes me seeing the 2" PVC. It just doesn't seem real how big your plumbing is. The unions are massive! :)
well thanks, but tonight we finished plumbing in the returns, it is a 3" pvc pipe that all the tanks dump into, ill post pics when im done answering these posts :)

Wow, now I know why you call yourself bigrich, you go big! Very nice tanks and monsters :)
thank you, but actually im called bigrich because my son is lil rich :)

If you don't mind me asking....what do you do for a living?
not at all, i used to own my own carpet buisness and i just kept buying houses and fixing them up in cleveland, now im sorta retired and i am busier than ever, there is something always needing fixed or replaced, i have 6 houses, some are doubles, they all have long term tennants in them, although it is a headache taking care of them and then collecting rent every month, it pays me very nicely, and i also buy and sell on ebay and run my own online store, check it out, it is rptoy.com, and i also build cars and sell them, you can see my beloved 67 camaro at mean67.com
