Tank planting stock help

How fast would amano shrimp get eaten in your tank do you think? It might might be worth it do buy a bunch and provide some places for them to hide.
At trop they have a bunch of random species, every anubias under the sun (exaggeration, they just have a lot), and a bunch of bigger plants in their discus tank that have been in there forever and would probably look good in your tank. I'll be going tomorrow again if you want I can pick you up from school and we can go look.

No I have no money and the second I put shrimp in my tank they would be picked alive... My cichlid pellets are made out of shrimp and some other stuff.

My light is 2.5 feet from the bottom of my tank... If I took out 2 bulbs leaving me with around 1.9 WPG could the plants do fine or would I still have a problem?

all depends on the plants, I have amazon swords and thick vals growing at 15inch under 1x40W tube going fine my 3ft deep I have kind of the same growing under 2x96W and its not going as well all without c02 then some tanks I have no light and the plants still grow, all depends on what u want out of it, id say 1.9WPG would be fine without c02 depending on the plants, best to keep it simple the first few times then slowly work ur way up.
