While reading this article I am staring at my cute little pleco. Of course it's not a common pleco but instead it's an ancistrus. He actually is pretty mean at fish who invade his area. He bites my gourami when he comes too close in his little house.

Common Plecos occasionally feed on small aquatic inverts such as Shrimp in addition to plant matter. But yes, it's still a retarded article.

I also heard that plecos pull your legs into the water with their sucker mouths and drown you to feast on your flesh. Lol. It is a problem but people shouldn't go crazy about it.

I always thought it'd be a sucky way to die to fall into the Amazon and be rasped to death by hundreds of Plecos.

The thing is, unlike the ridiculous articles on snakeheads, there's really nothing "blown up" in this particular article. It is a pretty well known fact that plecos' burrowing habits are wreaking havoc in many southern ecosystems, and there's really not a lot of humor to be found in the situation.
