Baby Pbass are getting bigger - confirmation on IDs please??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
when cichla are small they are also kind of timid and jumpy it may not have a thing to do with the tank it may be they just arent used to people yet i agree they dont look unhealthy they just look a bit dark the fore head is the tell tale dark color either way im sure they will settle in just fine
Thanks for the post. The fish are still doing great and you are correct, while they were very skittish as juvies they have grown into themselves and are much more open to when you walk near the tank. They don't get nearly as dark while feeding as before so they're setting in nicely. I believe the smaller one may have had a mild case of fin rot as his fins are a little misshaped but coming in much better. These fish are growing extremely fast and I truly believe that it has to do with the weekly water changes done 50-80%. I have had extremely well results with this routine and recommend it to anyone who may be toying with new ideas/procedures regarding maintenance.

Here is a picture of them from yesterday after feeding. You can see the fins on the top left guy:

That's good news. Mine haven't stopped growing. Little bigger every day man it's insane. They're eating like tanks

That's how mine we're. Be careful with your bigger one. They may get bullied although I cant say for sure. You have any pictures? Raise them carefully! This is usually their most fragile period from what I've read.

The big one looks good. How big of a tank are those 3 in? And do you realize the size of a tank you're going to need here in like 6 months for 4 peacock bass..? And the size you'll need after that ? You're looking at 200+ here really soon...
