Arowanas are part of RTC natural diet. They are perfect victims. As one said before, Arowanas are active during day time, the RTC during night. Arowanas are surface fishs, while the RTC attacks from below. Arowanas have an elongated body which makes them a perfect RTC meal. There aren't much other fish species there who are more perfect to end in a RTC belly. Thing is, the Aro has nothing to withstand a RTC attack. Im pretty sure even daytime attacks are sucessfull, because the Aro is unable to check the water under him. His eye positions make that impossible. That said, its just a very expensive fish meal in that tank.

ps this isnt the 1st tank iv had people i had a 450 aoe the army i had to leave it

just because you had another tank justifies what you are doing is right. thats like saying i worked for the humane society but i own a puppy mill now so i know how to take care of dogs.

Another thread falls victim to tank size.

IMO, as of right now the only concerns I see are the oscars and that piece of wood you scrapped from outside. If it wasn't fully dried out it could possible rot which would lead to water quality issues and if there is any sort of sap on it that could cause problems too.

tank size? try retardisum. big cat young, aro young, yound oscars. all not a good mix at those sizes. understanding the growth rates of each fish and there personality is the main thing that lacks from this tank. tank size was a mute point.

yeah this thread is a tripp. Poor fish. Im sure he will get that 450 up and running again.

doubt he even has a 450 or had one. if he did he wouldn't be so ignorant with these fish.
