Saw these last night and they are in fact in the pupil and not on the outer lens. It's a perfect dot almost and and within the pupil.
Interested to see if anyone has observed such happenings with their fish.
The incident I spoke to you about was caused by an extreme spike in ammonia from a failed shipment that left the colony of fish in a bag several days past it's due date and once brought back to health from dieing the eyes formed a white spot within in the pupil and it was obvious they were blind cause they could not sense movement outside the tank. If you put your hand into the tank they would react slightly to the movement. These fish eventually adapted to blind living and was able to feed based on smell but they could not live with any aggressive feeders.
