I'm looking forward to getting some "Platinum" EBJD's.
I would like to keep them healthy for many years, And
many generations. I've never been a fan of line breeding.
So I like to keep fresh blood coming in. I attached a chart,
Of how I plan to do this. And I would appreciate it, If some of
you more experienced members. Could take a look at it.
I know there are always throwbacks, Or odd morphs.
But all criticism is welcome.

It would be interesting to find out. It's kind of like, You can't breed two black Bettas.

Jillfishie is really smart when it comes to selective gene breeding.She's doing green JDs right now.I hope to get one from her one day.She's the one you want to talk to.

I am impressed with your charts. Very thorough...I don't see any corrections :)
I love playing with genetics...with my platinum project, I have also done a lot of outcrossing and plan to do even more. It helps that my original platinum male will spawn with different females.
I will find out this summer if it is possible to breed platinum to platinum...there are 2 issues involved--whether the eggs will be fertile and yield viable fry, and if so, how strong/hardy the fry will be and whether or not there will be an increased rate of deformity among the fry. Platinum fry are stronger and faster growing than ebjd fry, so I think there is a good chance that platinum x platinum will be able to produce good, healthy fry. I am also going to experiment with ebjd x platinum and ebjd het gold x platinum. So far with my breedings, platinum x gold het blue produces 50% strong, fast-growing platinums :)
