What's the nicest thing you've ever done

One of the nicest things I've done was saving an old horse from dying. It was in December and the poor old thing was skin and bones, had over grown hooves and poop caked into his rear end. His owner was about to send him off to a livestock auction but I convinced him to let me have him. I got him cleaned up and fattened him up. Once he was healthy(took about 5 months) I found someone to adopt him where he lived out the rest of his life. I miss that old man. I've rescued other houses and animals but he was the worst one. I'll se if I can dig up a picture of him for yoy guys.

The feral cat thing was probably inappropriate. I found a snake that has multiple wounds from the neighborhood cat, and I was mad at cats lol. I am nursing the snake back to health though, that's nice :)

I adopted a bulldog that was being used as a breeder in a puppy mill before they were shut down. She had been severly neglected, abused, beaten, and malnurished. It took a couple of years for her to fully accecpt and be comftorble with a spoiled home life. Some things would always terrify her though, and the scars she carried and induced medical issues were a constant reminder of how evil people can be. We just did the best we could for a few years to show her that life can be good, and that people are capable of showing her love.

the nicest thing i did was thinking of giving my mcdonalds to a bum. i did not give him my food. thats was my greatest moment.
 
I try very hard not acting on my impulses..
 
man has this thread taken a wild swing, nicest thing ever....to shooting feral cats, and back again .

I had to rescue a mauled hogsnake from my cats, then I do a nicest favor for this snake is give a final blow to the hogsnake. Althrough the cats were happy with their new toy.
 
I held the door open for someone.


I don't keep track of what I do but there is one that sticks out in my mind and that was, I pulled up to get gas once and this guy comes up to me and asks for $5 for gas(back when it was $1-$2). He said he needed to drive to Houston(from Austin). I told him sorry, I'm having money problems on my own.

I watched him ask others while I pumped my gas. I felt bad that I turned him down. After I finished I called him over and told him, I'd fill his entire tank up. I used super(same as what I was using). It was an extra $40 or so(from my tank).
