no gar should be kept with silver arowana(nor any silvery fishes) as they will try to eat or take a bite. Gator gar is the worst!

actually, there are some exceptions but it still not a good idea to keep any gar with silver arowana!Actually they dnt....any gar should be fine with a silver if u do decide to go gator which I(wouldnt) keep a eye on them...gars go perfect with aros....

In the wild, gars eat mostly silver fish and fish that can be see easily, they have the instinct of chasing after a silver fish when they see them. Even if they can't eat those fish they will try to chase after and bite, this will make the aro freak out and injure itself. Why do u think nt...a good idea...gator gars reasonable but the others ive seen tons of people have it...and me personally has had this, combo never had a problem these fish coexist. Fairly well with aros constantly occupying the top of the aquarium and gars where ever they wanna be.. shouldnt b any conflict unless proper size aquarium is nt provided.

I would say no for any gar not just the gator, the gator is just the worst in all of them! but in this case it is a gator gar, so it is not a good idea.ye I livein florida and fish gar quite often and definately understand your point of few...just as a hobbyist I yet to hear of gars chasing a aro around to the point of severe stress besides gator gar...good point out on your side about the basic instincts of gars....i think we all agree its a NO on the gator gar...but others should be fine...
