Cheers guys, I will keep every one updated, Might be a bit slow as I have lots of other commitments to keep up with, all the following has taken just under 2 years! not even close to being finished how I planned also hahah.

Not sure what fish you mean as they all say hello to me ;) But if referring to video 2, its a mangrove jack (Lutjanus argentimaculatus), aussie native dont think you can get them in the states. getting them here is not easy also lol. They are a redish fish, powerful jaws ( could take on a jardini with no issue would be like a XL treat ) Kind of like an over sized oscar personality wise but much more predatory yet can have tank mates if they are grown up with them, this guy was with oscars worked out alright he has the attitude like, if you dont mess with me I wont mess with you but if you mess with me bye bye one guy found that out the hard way :(. Max size is a bit up and down but they can reach 1.2 m (4ft) and vary from 10k to 16kg so very big strong fish, when we moved this guy he swam right threw the net and his not even fully grown!

I plan on keeping him in a 6ft but I want to get the sump in first so I dont have to take him out to drill, his not fun to move his top fins are sharp and always get torn plus he splashes a good 2 inch of water out of the tank.

Thanks all

Not sure whos keen but tried to take some videos of my 2 prawn eaters eating, not the best but you get the idea :D

Cant wait for the eel to grow, she death rolls like a croc with the prawns normally she eats out of my hand but its hard with the camera, shes not trained to not bite my fingers so i pull away fast but cant move that fast when on my knees :(

Hmmm where to start... Well Winter is slowly coming and its getting much colder here then last year + I have triple the tanks. The bill has jumped to high so i have decided to insulate the whole room. By doing it now I hope to save $$ early before the increases come for us plus when my next batch of tanks is finished there will be hardly any room!!!

So after reading a lot I went with 100MM thick EPS boards, they are water proof and super easy to work with. Then for the roof going for the same setup but using sarking > 100MM EPS > sliver bats. This gives a 5.5 R value for Australia which is pretty high, Not sure of the same in america but its high!

heres stage 2 -3 one side has the board up other has the sliver bats, the sarking is above this.

The heater/cooler, nice and cheap to run and does the best job.

The best idea so far. Tap right in the room, the A/C installer also found a drain right outside the room very happy with this going to make life much easier.

I cant tell if my little area done is working or if the heater will work well. The roller door had to go for the new one to come which is not expected for 1 month, but the guys who did the tap and ac agreed to help me take it off for free and seeing as it hardly shut I said why not after 1 bolt it fell down was hardly in the wall. Only issue is now I have a massive hole in the wall thinking of using some type of heavy duty plastic sheeting for the time to keep as much heat in as I can, Not running the heater but the tanks are still heating.
