  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Trust me your not the first person to ask and do the same in a random thread. And yes it is he is the son from my main male he now does all the breeding. All mine have great color. They are great fish.

So as the update goes:
I have another FX5 added to the tank, so a total of two.
I have 3 300-watt heaters in now.
Waiting to install two 1600gph dual headed koralia knock off power head to put in, but I didn't get the magnet holder that I was trying to purchase, so I'm awaiting response from seller, berfore I use/install them.
Also purchased an air pump, and 48" bubble wall for added water surface agitation.
There is a 4' 6-bulb T5 Light I have with a digital timer, that I'm wiring in today, and taking down the chandelier (sp?)

Did my first water change a couple days ago using both FX5's to drain the tank, which took only like 10 minutes, but 45 to fill lol.
Both are active, water parameter are great, and they are hungry little ones.

I will update with more pictures once the T5 is runnning, as I think it will really make the tank/fish pop! The yellow lighting looks horrible lol.

Tip: cover those heaters.

Heater guards are on their way as we speak, I have them angled for the time being to help with contact, I knew someone was going to say something, haha I just forgot to put that in there.

I went to lowes and was thinking of PVC but I found some on ebay for $5 each, so I ordered three:)

Thanks for the tip too! There are always people out there that don't and need to be told otherwise! lol
Also - Love your avatar, is that a Malamute, or Sib Husky?
I've been in the market for a Wolf/Husky hybrid or Pure Sib Husky.

If it were me, I'd probably detach the clips from the tank walls and leave them dangling as high in the tank as possible until the guards arrive. If you have extra clips from other tanks you could also attach those as an additional buffer. It's much easier for a ray to get burned with a heater that's fixed on the tank wall than one that's floating free.

My avatar is my nearly 12 year old Siberian Husky. Her papers say she's pure but she has a very fine coat, which is not standard for the breed and makes her what's termed a "wooly" although her coat is not as long as many wooly sibes'. It's a fault and would be bad if she was a working dog but since she's an indoor dog all it means is more hair around the house.

Since you asked and the thread is already pretty conversational, I'm going to randomly assume you won't object to a pic :D
