Weird things on Pima's body

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
sorry just noticed it passed, it's better off- im sure you dont have a 15,000 gallon pond of course

I had plans for a 5,000 gallon indoor pond. I wouldn't have bought an arapaima if I knew I couldn't house it for life.

Thats still no where near the right size. it would out grow that pond in no time believe it or not. they grow 250+ pounds,

I am aware of that, if he had gotten bigger than anticipated in captivity, I would have made the necessary moves to get him into a bigger enclosure. I would have spared no expense on my fish.

even a diy 15,000 gallon pond is expensive

I know, I work hard and make very good money, so does my husband. We have friends in the custom tank/pond design business, not to mention contractors and construction and we have the room for something even larger than 15,000. Expense would have never been an issue!

Sorry for the loss.
Just saw this thread. I zoomed in on the pic and it appears something is coming from the gill. My guess wound be gill flukes or lernea.

Kendragon, thank you for your post. Now I know for future reference. Thanks again.
