LAKEHOOD
After acquiring my new 16 inch largemouth bass, I headed to my local city park lake and caught about 50 ~2 inch bluegill as feeders. I was just wondering if it would be better to use bluegills to feed my bass or just to use goldfish.

depends really. make sure the bluegills arent sick. however the feeder goldies are also prone to sicknesses

BG's would not be my first choice as you gotta take into consideration they are going to grow and the bass after eating one is good for a while. The goldies are a better choice however you'd need more of those. BG's will eventually grow to become tank mates.

Depends on the size.....largemouths are always hungry. My buddy has a ky bass and he eats 2 baby gills almost every day.

True they do eat alot. My cousin's LMB grew out of BG's and were best buds with BG's in the tank with him. I've also Seen LMB's chill'n with BG's at lakes. Then again for how long is the better question? ...lol

How much should my bass eat? He's 16 1/2 inches long but pretty skinny for his size. I feed him 2-2 1/2 inch baby bluegills in the morning and later during the night. I'm just worried he should be eating more for his size and I want him to fill out cuz he'll look a lot better if he had a gut.

Also, does the fact that I have my bass along with bluegill too big for him to eat as well as some crappie hinder his appetite for bluegill feeders? If so, I'm going to move my other fish and keep him alone in his own aquarium. I just want him to be aggressive and put on chase and gain weight.
