I'm going to building a tank soon and will be housing a black arowana, manganese, carpintis, and a Festae. I know their could be some aggression issues but all the fish but the aro have grown up together and do well. What foot print tank would I need to have the best chance of success?

My original plans were 8' x 4' x 3' (lxwxh).

I think those dimensions should work fine. Obviously bigger is better, but with the stock you listed I think you'll have a decent amount of space in the tank

I would think 3' would be fine ive seen then kept together in less if the aggression worries u then just add more decor to break up line of sight, or if your able replace width with length, add a foot. If space doesnt allow that i still think youll be fine especially sine u siad they have grown up together that sould help alot. Good luck with your build i will soon be starting one myself.

8X3x3 is great size tank and will be great for those fish.
