Very nice.
How are they different from Geophagus neambi?
Pete, from my understanding the neambi are really similar to altifrons. I read that the altifrons that are from the tocantins are now being considered to be neambi.
They are very aggressive, to each other and to the other fish.Have they shown any aggressive traits yet?
I don't fnow yet, I'm waiting just like you to see what will be.are they pairing off or is this real aggression?

Peter Peter Peter, always with the tough questions...I was just curious why GT thought these were closer to argyrostictus instead of G. neambi. I understand G. neamni is found in Rio Tocantins, but if you look at figure 5 in the Lucinda et al 2010 paper, it's found all the way upstream and extremely close to Rio Araguaia.
According to Lucinda et al., "G. neambi differs from the species lacking head markings by the possession of eight or nine vertical, parallel bars along the flank, the bar containing mid-lateral spot bifurcate above and below midlateral blotch and by the caudal fin bearing rounded white spots".

The truth I'm not sure what this fish it is, I Just believe to the stocklist.
According to what I've read, this is Argyrostictus Araguaia
But I'd be happy to learn from you.
