Im headed to Stonelick tonight for day and night fishing. Im trying to catch the "Ghost" of the creek. The Ghost is a huge gar, she is pale, only one in the creek like it. I have had her on 5 times now and she eludes me so this time Im going to switch up a little and see if it works. Going to use a steel leader and treble hook. I will have one pole dedicated for her and use the other pole for other gar and fish. Tonight we also plan on catching mirror, buffalo, drum, sauger, smallies, sein some minnows, darters, shiners and sculpins. What I'm wanting tonight is the Ghost and a small flathead for my 500. We will get there about 6 and fish till whenever, four of us so we should land some fish.

good luck man, would love to see this gar. it sounds cool!

Id say its pushing 20lbs+, she is wide and long. She nevers hangs around, she comes up for air and thats it, just fades away slowing back to the bottom. But last week she swam right in front of us about 2 foot below the water and it was like she was glowing, couldnt miss her. The other gar, the smallers ones hang around all day right at the top. I see her about once an hour or less. I saw her 3 times last trip in 7 hours of fishing. Its hotter today so she should be up for air more often. :)

Tonight was ok....I caught a 2lb smallie on chunk of gill fishing for gar, about the same size hybrid bass on chunk of gill as well. I didnt get a shot at the gar, I did see her twice thou. My gf caught a nice carp and a gar. I tossed my 4 poles in the creek and my buddy did the same, then we walked down the creek at night looking for fish. We got all sorts of fish for the tank. While we were got my gal caught a nice softshell which is now in my tank and his gal caught a big snapper which did not go in my tank, also caught 4 rockbass :)

Here are some of mine recent catches,
unfortunately the weather in Holland is really bad,and I mean really really bad.
Last year we had the wettest summer in Dutch History, but we have already had 14% more rain in Holland in May-June this year compared to May-June last year. It's raining everyday and a combined strong wind doesn't encourage me to headout and see what I can get.
But every now and then when the weather changes and the forecast is positive,I do not waste time and head to my boat.
unfortunately my boat is a bit small and my Suzuki 4HP outboard motor fails to work for a long time at trolling speed so I use my trolling motor most of the time, but since I only have one battery for this motor this means 2.5hours of quality fishing each day I'll headout.
The size of the boat makes it impossible to take both motors with me,so I have to decide whether I'll go fishing on prime trolling waters with my suzuki and see how long It's managing to work without failing to often, Or take my trolling motor and stay in the area hoping that I can go home with one maybe two pike's per session.

Here are the pics, another friend of mine caught most of the pikes but he doesn't want his pictures to spread on the internet so I can't show these pics.
