A bit of controversy on this one if you search around. If you're looking for a nice carpintis strain, you should be happy with either one if the source is quality.

Here are some H. carpintus, location Chairel, at less than 3" I think they look great already. Feisty little wankers.

sorry i dint realize this was such a touchy topic..... i just like texas cichlids and wanted to gatherer as much info about these guys as i could before i go out an buy one
They are supposedly different localities. If I remember correctly, vont have larger spangling or pearls and escondido have more wormy pearls.
