Has anyone else noticed this pattern on their senegal?

I just noticed this green pattern all over my senegal. has anyone else ever noticed this? Do they normally have this pattern? this is my first time keeping any bichir so I have no idea.

Not uncommon, substrate color will bring it out more as in your case

wow, that looks way cooler than my senegals. i just have light colored sand so if it is substrate related that might explain why mine are plain looking.i've never seen that though.

Darker substrate brings the greens out in Polys, there was a thread where some one switched sand from white to black and overnight their delhizi and I think palmas turned an amazing green overnight, I think mine would do the same if I switched

My senegal looks really plain compared to yours....makes me wanna switch to black substrate...hmmmmm
