Just like the title says....What do you guys do when you get tired of your stock and want to switch it up? How do you usually re-home your fish?

Hello; I have yet to re-home or take back a fish that I purchased myself. I did take in a neighbors pleco a couple of years ago because he was losing his house. the pleco out grew my available tanks and I found a fish shop to take him.
I have purchased a few fish over the years that did not prove to be as interesting as first hoped. I kept them untill they died. My take is that living pets are not things to be returned or exchanged. I do not feel that fish are exactly the same as dogs, but do feel that once they are yours they should be kept. There are circumstances that require re-homing such as losing a place to keep tanks.
One way I have looked at it is that there is a life lesson in living with a fish that has not fit as well as hoped. It also makes me much more cautious when picking out a new type of fish.

Nah she got dumped at Petco, a worse fate lol. Usually just rehome my fish or take them to a local store.
