Snail killing fish safe for baby fish

Im surprised no one has given the OP the advise of getting an empty bottle, placing some cucumber sliced open inside and removing it the next morning with the snails and repeating as necessary...

This way no need to worry about overstocking / re-homing fish and its cheap as well as safe...

For eating ramshorn snails, suggest mini-puffer: South American FW Puffer (Colomesus asellus) - can also keep in community tank!

They need to be in groups of 3 or more and need regular dentistry... Not exactly the best solution to a problem if you ask me...

Not to mention they still do nip fins in community tanks...

probably, I looked it up and it may not work that well. I suggest using lettuce or spinach or algae wafers that you can pick up from your lfs they will also go for lettuce, and spinach

You just put the bottle some flat surface on the bottom of the tank with the zucchini, or spinach inside it then leave overnight. Next morning remove jar and take out the snails and repeat.

Yeah, as long as its on the bottom of the tank then it doesn't really matter too much where it is... although if you have a really large tank you may want to use 2 bottles instead of one?

Should be okay, unless he gets completely stuck on his way in or out the bottle, in which case, yes, you might have a slight problem on your hands...

yeah i looked into that path with the puffers. they do fin nip and i didn't want to have to worry about re-homing a bunch of fish. hey will the bottle and cucumber solution work even if you have a planted tank?
