Looks Vieja or Paratheraps but they dont sport yellow eyes like Hericthys. Lol is this one of those PK Flowerhorn from Segrest sold as Red Texas? The caudal eye, eye color, and black spot line are a dead giveaway.

I see it being that or a more exotic CA I cant put name to face. Mojo with a filthy hybrid!?! Do you not know what it is or is this a guess game for us?

"Filthy hybrid"? Where did that come from? I really like some that I have seen...and hoping to get a Thai Silk in the near future. I photo'd one at Segrest that was absolutely bangin hot.

I'll go out on a limb and say bartoni. I definitely think its a Herichthys

Yes sir. Hericthys bartoni. Difficult to ID at such a small size. Well done. I have two. A male and a female. The fish is only a couple inches long right now. Good eye.

Lol it was an ironic comment. I am a hybrid enthusiast at heart, was making a joke because I know how much some people hate hybrids. "I dont understand it and it scares me so its bad!"

Didnt think Bartoni, nice one Mo. You ever keep Deppi?

Anything in particular that you're looking for? Just wondering what you'd pick up if you had your choice of cichlid.

Good question. I'm seriously considering picking up some African cichlids. And....I wouldn't mind having Istlanum again....maybe even Dovii, if I can find some nice sized ones for sale.

Mo ........................... whatever happened to: "I love flowerhorns...pan fried with a side of salsa" ;)

Nice pick up, I have a smaller pair( M4.5"/F3")
Mine are a bit skittish, but after I sit still for a few minutes they come out.

They are difficult to ID. Also almost all pics you see on the Internet are in breeding colors.
