Again, jaa was considered but he failed to make my list for a couple of reasons at least

He only has one huge success, ong bak. The sequels and his other movies are just meh at best

My list isn't just for what they can do in terms of stunts and athleticism, they gotta act and bring their role and movie to another level. If it was all based on stunts jaa is still #2 behind Chan

Has to be Arnold. Conan (both), The Running Man, Predator, Total Recall, Commando, etc, etc, etc.... The dude is THE action star of the 20th century. Certainly Sly is a close second, but I think the multiple Rocky movies dragged on a little longer than they should have. 1,3,4 all good, but 2,5 were weak. Also, Van Damme had a few great ones in that time period, but Bloodsport was among my favorites. King of the B list action stars HAS to be Dolph Lundgren.

Bloodsport, kick boxer and cyborg are my favs from him. Also his role as a villain in No Retreat No Surrender is awesome but that's an older movie most don't know since it was before he made it big

For me, my "growing up" top three are: Mel (obviously = Mad Max series), Sly, and VD... I picked Sly for his overall body of work and the fact that he's still kicking-A in the making of the Exps.

I also always enjoyed the "rivalry" he had with Arnold, and felt like I could relate more to him (me not being 6'5" and all)...

For current Action stars tho, I'd have to pick Statham... Total BAD-A! and Sumo, I'm sure you know who I'm disappointed you didn't include...

Another reason Sly got my vote over Mr. Olymipia was for Stalone's impressive directing portfolio...

Tom yum goong is BA. Ong bak 2 is ok, but 3 is....
