  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
looks great so far. love that footprint. hope you like that sand as much as i do :)

Absolutely love the sand. The mix of small stones and sand is just an awesome combination. Thanks again for the idea.

This build looks awesome. The footprint on that tank is perfect and it's cool to see the talk back and forth between you and jk47--I wish I lived across the street from an MFK member!

I'm the official lapis lustre tourch carrier and even I have to admit that sand looks badass. Nice job you guys. I'll give that a try on the next tank. You got any close up pics of it?

nice nice! get those picture update on! lol

Here is a little update...

So we decided to make a small line nozzle just for a shimmering effect. Added a ball valve to adjust intensity or just shut it off.

When I bought the tank, it came with this 2" hole. We were going to use it and add a 1.5" reducer, but didn't want to mess with more hard plumbing elbows so we just decided that we were going to cap it later.

Making sure that the 2 1.5" pipes would fit in the overflow space. Gonna be a tight fit for sure.

When working in the build, this wiffleball bucket with top, saved our asses (no pun intended). Its easy to move around and more comfortable that it looks. ;-)

Our goal was to soft plumb the lines to hide everything to make it a clean look from the front view. OCD at its finest.

Thats it for now. More to come later. ;-)

Great build, everything looks so perfectly straight and clean - very nice!

We were going to use this 2" hole and use a reducer to 1.5", but figured it would look cleaning if we just plugged it and made (2) 1.5" holes side by side (to reduce having to use 45 degree elbows).

We didnt have much space, so we had to make sure our holes were spot on. One millimeter or two off and we'd have a huge problem. We used the old adage, "measure 8-10 times, cut ones". This was probably the most tense part of the build. Worked out perfectly.

Used true union ball valves for ease of maintenance and/or expandability.
