All this talk about F0 festae being deformed or produce deformities are baseless. If you get your hands on True F0 Ecuadorian or True F0 Peruvian festae for that matter. You will have a nice fish the majority of the time. The last three years is when all these mutants showed up. I have been breeding festae since 1994 and I have never experienced any of these deformities. I mean everywhere one looks. Mutants over here, mutants over there, mutants everywhere. It is sad that the true beauty of a magnificent fish can't be appreciated because of the substandard specimens that have been sold all over the place in the last three years. Beware of the F0 wild claim. In most cases the F stands for foolish if you buy and the 0 stands for 0 chance of your festae being wild. Stop getting caught up in the F0 craze. F numbers are pointless if you start out with a substandard specimen. Mutants begets mutants. And yes beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I just think everyone should at least see what a festae should look like. Please Post pics of these F0 festae please. I have posted pictures of a true F0 Peruvian on this thread. I have posted Ecuadorian festae all over the place. I don't claim to have the best festae in the world. However, they are a good representation of what festae should look like. I hope I did not offend anyone because that was not my intention.
