I'd say get a Lima they are pretty cool and are a meat eater I have one 18 inches right now and hes pretty awesome I like his color and pattern also here's a pic of him

I have to personally agree with the lima. I have one about 6-7" right now and he absolutly bombs fish. Trying to find a short body rtc is going to be incredibly hard and who knows what the price on it would be, however it is deffinatly possible, I have a short body albino bichir. I also am gonna say you will probably be looking for a good long while to find a short body rtc, if you even can. Also the tiger that you inquired about gets extremely large way way out of your size range they are known to grow an inch a month on average up to 18" before they start to slow down and ending up well over 4'.
