look for rat pups when he gets older.. something with hair on it.. If you are in a dry climate I would switch to cypress asap.. and / or find him a cage that will hold humidity better.. spraying is an ok temp solution.. you will probably need to do that even with cypress once it starts to dry out..

OK. Ill definitely switch him over to cypress. And ill look for rats once he finishes the pinkies I have. Just have a couple. What's a good feeding schedule? Is the once a week good, or is there a better feeding schedule? I want to make sure its eating properly.

As others have said, switch to a bedding that holds humidity better. I thaw my rats in warm water. Just before feeding, I place the bag in a pot of water that is almost boiling. I keep them there for 5-10 seconds and then immediately feed my ball pythons.
Since you are keeping yours in an aquarium, I suggest covering three of the sides. I recently switched my ball pythons from an aquarium to a snake rack. The darkness made a big difference in their comfort level, as evidenced by the fact that they feed more aggressively now. No overhead heat is needed, but belly heat is a necessity.

i soak mine in warm water that way they get some extra water in there system they never turn down a meal
That Mojave and bumblebee python are gorgeous! Also what do you mean cover three corners? Like black out the sides and back? I plan on a heat rock. But was told a heat lamp is needed. So I got it instead of the heat rock. I keep the tank around 80-85 degrees. The bedding will be changed soon. And ill also get a heat rock. How often should I feed?

Agreed on the heat rock. You can order frozen rodents online for your snake if you are having trouble finding the right size. I would go with rat fuzzies right at this size.
I have found that people that thaw rodents under water have a more difficult time getting their snakes to eat because they have washed off all of the scent- could you imagine brownies coming out of the oven and not being able to smell them? They would not be nearly as enticing. Just leave the rodent out for a few hours while you wait for them to thaw. For some of my pickier eaters, I place them on a plate above the fridge (which is always warm) and that works fine. DO NOT MICROWAVE THEM!
I usually dislike ball pythons but yours is a nice natural phenotype and not a mutant retard. Good luck with it and enjoy it.

Yea, he's a beaut. Ill look into larger rodents. And thanks for the thawing tips. Where can I get those under tank heaters? I didn't see any when I picked up some supplies for him.
