Most larger pet retail stores will carry them next to the Reptile lighting section. Zoomed has a nice selection of heatpads that I know PetSmart carries.

Definitely don't go with a heat rock. Even new ones have been reported to cause thermal burns. Heat pads can be bought in petsmart and petco but you'll pay more than needed. Tons of places online.
I did mean paint or cover three sides of the tank with a dark color.
There are tons of vids on youtube from well known breeders on how to set up the cage and proper care.

So out of curiosity tho. As I was watching him explore the tank, I noticed what looked like he was scratching his head, and I thought I saw him yawn. Is this normal? He only scratched his head twice (I think), and yawned once. All we have here is PETCO, but ill check them out tomorrow.

Yawning is normal. As for scratching, it can be normal, but can also be a sign of not enough humidity or mites. Look over the snake closely to rule out mites. One of the reasons why I switched to a rack (besides space) is that I could not keep the glass tank humid enough. My pythons were having difficulty shedding, especially their eye caps.
In the event that you have the same issues, I would invest in a 15-30qt plastic sweater box with lid and use that to house your python. I would place it in a dark location or paint the sides. Then, I would take the aquarium you are currently using, fill it with water and add a pair of smaller cichlids.

Lol well as fun as the pair cichlids sounds, I'm a monster fish keeper of catfish lol. And I will darken up the tank for now, spray water often. Ill also check for mites. And start making room for the tub.
