New to Knife Fish's, need some info/help..

Hey guys, I’m thinking of getting a Knife Fish, but before I do, I want to know the proper way to take care of it, so (tank is a 72g);

- What do they eat? What is a good diet for them?
- What temperature is suitable? I keep the tank around 80f normally.
- Got some hiding spots, about 4 or 5, do they need more?
- Would one Knife Fish do ok with a CAE? Or do they do better in pairs or a group?
- Preferred substrate? Right now I have a sort of crushed gravel/sand mix..

Anything else you can suggest/share that would help make my potential Knife Fish feel most at home?

Number one question before people could help, which knife fish are you considering? If clown knife its a no go with that size tank and what is a CAE?

More than likely going with a Black Ghost, there are no fish shops in my area, so not much of a selection..

CAE is a Chinese Algae Eater, or just commonly called an Algae Eater. Not a Pleco or an Oto..

They would be fine with a CAE and they aren't picky about substrate.

Ghost knives prefer tubular hiding spots. Mine never goes in the pots.

The bgk might atach the cae. They can be aggressive so watch it at night
