Get a pbass.. Should be able to live in the 50 gallon for about 6 months to a year depending on the species you get.

you could try severums,blue acaras,salvinis.with good filtration you could might be able to keep 1 pair of those mentioned.

You do know Oscars are not built like a Submarine that can't turn?

Plus if the Oscar was to get past 10 inches or so the OP could save up for a 75 gallon, it is not like a 75 gallon tank would cost a lot.
