Hello everyone,
It's been a while since I've posted about my JD projects. So I'm opening this thread for members interested in doing a similar project.

I have a few grow out tanks that I've mixed EBJD's & Gold JD's in the past few months. All the babies are doing great & some are reaching maturity right now. They range from 2" - 4" in size in one tank & from 1" - 2" in the others. The JD babies (2" - 4") are ready to move into a larger community tank. They are starting to pair themselves up & I have decided to share one of these pairings with everyone here.
The pair/project I'm sharing is

A male EBJD

and a female Gold JD

Both of them are getting moved into a 40Gal Breeder tonight.

I'll post results/pics/vids of the project as long as members are interested.
So please sub this thread if interested.

Jill :)

-Update
Well, I decided to move the pair into a 35Gal Bow front instead of setting up a new 40Gal Breeder. The pair is starting to get comfortable in their new home. It's a big change for them in this breeding setup I put together for them. It's a bare bottom tank with a couple of clay pots & a bubbler.

I'm sorry I haven't posted any new pics, but I'll post some later today. I'll post progress & happy to answer any questions regarding this project.

-Update
Alright, here's a couple of pics of the two in the new setup.

But I've decided to add a thin layer of substrate since those pics, because they're still very young & the reflections from the glass spooks them. After a couple of spawns I'll remove the substrate. By then the reflections won't be a distraction anymore.

I'll add the new pics with the substrate @ a later time.

Thank You
- Jill :)
