FISHING SEASON 2K12!!!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Really nice catches guys!
Especially the bass gars, grasscarp and the big sucker.

I'm currently at 19pikes and 7 zanders for this season which is the usual amount of pikes and about double the amount of zander.
Fish stay small though, biggest pike at 29 and biggest zander at 28inch.
Still no bites or signs of big pikes in the area I am fishing in, although there are plenty of 16-24inch pikes.
Heading out to France tommorow,And hopefully we end up at a lake with Wells Catfish or Carp.
When I'm back the search for new fishing-grounds and monsterpike will restart.

Those flatties invasive to MN? And nice shovel nose looks a little skinny but always good to see.

Nah they are native to Minnesota River. Actually that's what the shovelnose are supposed looks like that one.

Yeah I wouldn't know much about the shovel nose I've never seen one in person just online but that's cool the flattys are native. Around me they're in the Delaware and the skuylkill river and there is a catch and kill policy on them. Now how many people follow that is a whole other story. I figured that far north that it was possible they were invasives

Well the catch and kill method isn't working out and in some times the policy leds to other problems. Catch and kill policy has failed in other species such as common carps, snakeheads, round gobies and of course roughfish such as suckers, bowfins and gars.

I haven't caught anything in weeks but saw some baby 2" LMB what would be the best way to catch them? I usually fish from 6:00-8:30pm eastern time I was thinking just a net but I was wrong

I mean what do you want to do with these bass keep them? If that's what you're going for worms and small barbless hooks try not to handle the fish in your hands if you can but if you have to make it as short amount of time as possible.
