What is the best heater ?

I just bought a submersible aqueon 300watt heater was all happy. I followed the directions like all heaters but this sh***y a** heater isn't turning on. Might be on bu I do not see the light on the Heater on. I about to scrap this one and buy a new one. Anyone know which company is reliable? Thanks In Advance
 
Nevermind guys, I was pissed and spike the switch to the highest and boom, it turned on. But for some reason it turns on for a bit and doesnt turn back on... Strange heater..
 
I know that but the temp is at 74, and I want it at 80....Doesn't make any sense. Only works when I put at max which is 88..stupid heater. BTW i've been in this hobby for 8 years... I know how a heater works brother.
 
I had a Eheim Jager but the thing fell apart on me when I was trying to adjust it. My back up is a Marineland Visa-Therm. I had one that stopped heating and they replaced it for me no questions asked. It is about 4 degrees off and I had to play with it to find the right temp for my tank, but it has functioned great so far. I also just bought a Finnex 300 Watt that I am going to use instead of the Marineland. It was a good price and I have heard pretty good things about them, so I guess we will see.

I had a heater that did this aswell. I got sick of it and got an eheim jager and I'm very happy with it
 
I firmly stand by my titanium heaters. They have a dial that's out of the water and a thermometer that you can place away from the heater. They are very durable and efficient. I have them in my sump filter, but they can be put anywhere.
