Petco $100 purchases & over don't do

It wasn't at all my fault in anyway since I called within 30 minutes back after they called me to verify my purchase on the 9th. How is it my fault? Please explain? The lady on that call said your address and information has been confirmed and UPS ground confirmation will be emailed to you within 5 days. Money isn't an issue and Petamart carries the same dog food simple switch for me just $1200 revenue lost for them a year plus whatever purchase I would have bought from there now petsmart.

they wont lose 1,200$ revenue. revenue is how much you make. They probably bought the dog food wholesale and made maybe 300-400$ off of you total. More or less depending on the company and its customers. personally I'd just buy the stand used on craigslist. If i was patient enough I could easily snag 1 for free or better yet a whole setup. But my mom is so weird in that she refuses to take free craigslist items and only lets me 'buy' stuff on there even when im the 1 paying for it... doesnt make sense does it? Ah women, so hard to understand these days always talking about hair and perfume.

I'm sure the $300-400 PROFIT that they will lose from you will really hurt their bottom line. You can have a bad experience like that with any large company, unless you only plan on supporting local businesses than build a bridge and get over it. They offered you a discount for their mistake and you refused because you didn't feel it was enough justification for you having to wait a few extra days for your stand. :nilly:

Entitlement not from that generation and for money I have worked hard for everything I own. 10% yeah I wish I had taped the conversation then you would have understand how unintelligent these people were including a manager who wanted to discuss how merchant services worked where I do that for a living. Where some people are lazy but if I pay for something I expect good customer service and when I don't I take my business elsewhere.

You be suprised on how much dog food is marked down for a large supplier vs LFS. I guarantee its above a 70% markup at least. My purchase won't effect bottom line from petco as a chain but for a local store where their overhead is probably above $80,000 a month things start to add up.

Seems like people are really responding to everything but what the thread is about.

Because people judge I just wanted people to be aware when they decide to order a big ticket online at Petco. It's everyone's own decision on where they want to purchase.

I can understand not wanting to buy online anymore but why stop shopping at the local petco if the employees are nice to you there?

Customers often have an overwhelming sense of entitlement, they screwed up, they didn't know who you had talked to or what had happened, and by the time they did you refused to take their offer to fix things. They cannot rush order things like that anyway. All in all you didn't lose any money and no harm was done. Meanwhile someones day is getting ruined and they may lose their job just because you had to mention them by name and file a customer complaint, because god forbid your order got canceled because of a trainee.
