Almost at the end of my ordeal with my mother. Too many years of smoking and she ended up with Stage 4 Laryngeal Cancer. She went in for an immediate FULL laryngectomy and will breathe through a tracheastoma (hole made in the front of a throat) for the rest of her life.
I can post pics if the above is not enough to deter people from smoking. I smoked for 17 years and quit 2.5 years ago. It is a mental game. If you think you can't you won't. I just wrote cigarettes off as an option and every time I felt like a cigarette I down a 400ml glass of warm water and used pistachio nuts to keep my hands busy.
If any one offers me a cigarette I don't say, "No thanks I quit." All I say is, "No thanks I don't smoker. I never gave up or quit smoking. I see it as being a non smoker.
