How to quickly grow out wild caught cichla?

How big is the tank that you're able to do 50% daily? Thats impressive!

Your avie pic, in order to acomplish that, fish with a black background, do they put the light above the tank for the flash??

Yep 50% a day I have them in a 90 gallon so 45 gallons a day isn't bad. And it's normal tank lights with a great camera and regular flash.

Sweet man, If i had the time or energy every day i probably would to. But right now my guys are only in a 55g tank so water changes are all done by hand.

Ive heard of people putting the light for the flash above the tank and then taking the pics to achieve that look - fish look good

I have a system that works great for me with water changes. I syphon the crap and debrie out to what looks like 50% I then have a 60 gallon (i think) trash can with a R/O unit. So the trash can fills up everyday and I have a little giant pump in it that all I do is plug in and it fills my tank within about 5 minutes

More details on said R/O machine? Did you buy it, or build it? Is the hose attached to the tank, or do you just put it in?

Look up Reverse osmosis systems because it seems you don't completely understand what it is. I bought my unit. The hose is connected to the 60 gallon trash can and when i need to fill the tank back up after a water change I put the hose from the little giant into the tank it fills it up.

Didn't read the whole thread, but you will need to get bigger grow outs for the broko and azul to catch up to your big boys. And my tem is also the largest cichla in my tank and does the same thing whenever I add a new fish. It's kinda of a hazing thing cichla do to new comers lol

Feed 4-5 times a day, water change every 2-3 days and bump the temp I would personally go 85 degrees. Try increase your filtration and a few air stones as well

alright well yeah its a 55 long and alright i just wont feed as much so they don't grow as fast.
