Title says it all, but now 2 days after eating it, my Gulper is not swimming so well. I know they can eat extremely large prey, but, of course I never wanted/thought he would swallow such a tall bodied cicihlid. The entire reason I had the pearsie in his tank, was that he was a big enough and gentle enough fish to "work"... FML... Any ideas how to ease this process possibly? I have see gulpers eat like peacock bass almost their own length but I fear the roundness of the Pearsie is causing him some issues. Sigh, any thoughts folks?2012-08-25 02.06.06.jpg

gulpers never cease to amaze me. I think that with such a large meal it is just going to take him a while to work his way through it. 'm sure all will be fine within a week. Gulpers are made to eat big meals and yours ate a big damn meal, itll live on to eat another day.

I hope, I really enjoyed him over the past few months. He is like hanging under his giant log now.

I am rather positive he will be fine. This is almost a norm for them.

Yes you are right, I have never seen anything about these guys!! Would I be okay with putting a 5-7" one in with my 15" rtc? Lol they're so cool!

Then RTC may eat it, for sure in a small tank, less sure in a large pond but such a small gulper in a big pond is a moot point. If a fish fits in an RTC's mouth, it will eat it... in a small tank for sure. Simple.
