im a little confused by the drawing lol there are green going to the three pumps but nothing leaving lol. what are the pumps used for just moving water back and forth or is the water going through any filtration besides the green tub?
intresting thread hulon..some good information and some not so good.
dbjunkie: lookslike you have spent about a milllion dollars on pvc..wow, never seen so much pvc..lol
did you ever check into the idea of asking a company like "culligan" about a water softening system to help with your nasty well water? just a thought you may get lucky and get some smart guy thats had an issue like yours before and has the answer?!
those of you running drip systems...how do you treat your water with a de-chlorinator? or are we dripping and not treating? seems risky to me to drip faucet water untreated
great thread with little bs bantering..good job people!
Any of you use plants in your filtration systems?
I'm surprised that not many people do. I know someone said that once your nitrites and ammonia are 0 theres nothing you can do to make it better. But what about nitrates? Plants(aquatic or terrestrial) would improve it, wouldn't it?

You will just have to improvise.
maybe a 2 stage storage system
one treated and nother treating.
so you just constantly replenish the treated tub with treated water from the treatment tank
makes sense, a tongue twister right there for ya!!

Ok sorry i took so long guys here is a rough sketch hopefully you get the Idea !!!
Oh I'm sorry i did not want to clutter the drawing with the three 1 1/2 return lines going back to the tank...So 5 1.5 inch drains feed my tub "bio reactor " and the glass filter the water runs through them then is pushed through the two filters finally back to the tank pretty simple right ??????im a little confused by the drawing lol there are green going to the three pumps but nothing leaving lol. what are the pumps used for just moving water back and forth or is the water going through any filtration besides the green tub?
