Sadly they are crazy skittish and jumpy but work well with discus and rays. A friend keeps 2 with his florida rays and discus and they all get along well, but they have jumped out on him twice when he opened the lid to feed them.

I have really thought about 2-3 silvers on the top, but its not covered, so there is a possibility they could jump out, but with all that space i gues they would stayhow agressive are they? Thinking towards discus etc.
IMO blacks are less aggressive than silvers (and better looking!!), but both will be prone to jumping if spooked. Rather than a lid you could always put thin acrylic or glass between the tank and the roof so if they do jump they can't go over the side.
Not sure if your big tank would change it, but generally with aros it is best to have either just one or 3+ to spread any aggression between them.
Wow!! I read thru the whole thread and just wanted to say congrats on completing your tank! You diffenitly influence me to one day make my own tank!

Not easy to catch in Norway tho.
Can't be any worse than New Zealand!!! I guess you'd need a decent sized one to go in with the fish you already have though..
